A Good Factual Review about 1&1 Hosting?

Makes a change. It's hard to find a positive and factual "customer" review about 1&1 these days, but here is an obviously satisfied customer with a factual expert assessment and advise. Clearly 1and1 must be doing something right as they are one of the worlds largest web hosts.

Maybe its just me. But I’ve always thought there has been some confusion over 1&1’s actual name. They are officially `1&1` but of course their websites are at 1and1.co.uk and 1and1.com obviously.
This forces some people to hunt on Google for the correct URL for 1&1, Some search for “oneandone.” One or two searchers make common typo’s such as `i&i` or `1&i` `i&1` `iandi` and so on, but despite this the company has become a massive success, and has earn’t the title “the worlds web host.”

1and1 Web Hosting Review

A more thorough than usual review of of 1&1 Web Hosting. Strange how the biggest and most popular hosts get some of the worst reviews. I mean if they were that big, how did they get so damn big? I've had a few servers with1&1 now without issue. Just remember that you are on your own with tech support. However because of their supurb re-image tool, console access and a decent backup stategy, there should be no need for calling their tech support

This is because the company founded in 1992 by Ralph Dommermuth, operates on a global scale with over 15,000MBit of network capacity. 1&1 currently employ’s over 150 developers and administrators. Total Employees amount to nearer 1,300.

clipped from www.weycrest.co.uk
Rather than spend hours comparing UK Web Hosts Weycrest are doing it for you! Namesco think they have a great starter package, but not when you compare their features and prices with the Weycrest Personal Plan. This comparison will also apply to all of Namesco's other brands which include Simply.Com, Cheapnames.co.uk, CheapDomainNames.co.uk, Net2.co.uk, 123domainnames.co.uk, XSessions.com, NDO.com and Names123.com

Details accurate as at 23 April 2008. We have also given the Namesco the benefit by including their "half price" special offer for the first year, so Namesco prices are only correct for the first year. The following year they would double in price.

UK Web Hosting Provider offer Carbon Offset and Environmentally Friendly Web Hosting

Weycrest have relocated their business operation in an eco friendly business centre in East London, next to the River Thames, opposite the "famous" O2 Arena. The buildings are constructed entirely from recycled shipping containers! This tends to play havoc with local wireless networks due to the "Faraday Cage" effect, but this is to some extent appropriate as Michael Faraday conducted his original lighting experiments in conjunction with Trinity House from adjacent Lighthouse on the site (the only lighthouse on the River Thames).

Some time ago we realised our web servers may be contributing to CO2 emissions so decided to take some time helping to reduce the effects of global warming by cutting down on our 'carbon footprint'.

London, UK (PRWEB) February 7, 2008 -- Canonical Ltd, the commercial sponsor of Ubuntu, today announced the availability of Parallels Workstation for Linux through the Ubuntu Partner Repository -- giving Ubuntu users the ability to quickly find, install and run Parallels software.

The Ubuntu Partner Repository and associated services from Canonical allow software providers to make their software readily available to Ubuntu users. The repository supplements the thousands of free and open source applications available through other Ubuntu repositories, and contains both proprietary and open source applications provided by Ubuntu Partners.

Parallels Workstation for Linux (www.parallels.com/products/workstation) allows users to easily run multiple operating systems side-by-side on a single computer without rebooting. The deal with Parallels, Inc. makes the desktop virtualization product more readily available to Ubuntu users -- residing in a drop down menu on the operating system.
